This is NOT a light oud
"When Kayali said the oud in this one was “light,” that’s dead wrong. This is the heaviest oud out of the four fragrances in this set, to my nose. The pink pepper and incense hits you in the face right out of the gate, followed by a hint of saffron. Then all I get after that is oud. Everything else that sounds lovely in this olfactory pyramid gets overwhelmed by that oud: no strawberry cream, no coffee, no milky musk, no tonka bean. Just oud. This was such a disappointment, too, because I was SO excited to smell this one — and it turns out, this one was the biggest let-down because all of the things I was most excited about are the very things that get lost in that overwhelming oud. I was hoping for something like Mykonos’ Pink Drops or Melanie Martinez’s Crybaby, but made deeper and richer and more mysterious by the oud. However, the oud here was simply too strong for that lovely, soft strawberry cream to survive. Such a shame for me because that’s not what I wanted it to do. But if what YOU want is a really strong oud, then this one is the one for you!"
